Description
A residential building is a structure that is intended for private occupancy, either permanently or temporarily. It can also be defined as a building that contains separate residences where people can live or stay regularly. Some examples of residential buildings include: Single-family homes Built on separate pieces of land and have no shared walls with other buildings. Apartments Separate residences within a building that may have independent cooking and bathroom facilities. Condominiums Communities or complexes made up of a number of separate residential units. Condos often share walls with other apartments and have monthly or yearly dues to homeowner's associations. Townhouses Buildings that consist of three or more attached townhouse units. A building is considered residential if more than half of its floor area is used for habitation.
